Provide an update on the Multicultural Task Force and event details.

BACKGROUND:
In 2023, the City of Farmers Branch launched a new multicultural event scheduled for spring 2024. To support this initiative, a Multicultural Task Force was formed, consisting of Farmers Branch residents chosen by the Mayor and City Council based on their backgrounds and experience, considered essential for the successful planning and production of the event. Following an application and evaluation process, members were appointed to the Task Force in September 2023.
The Task Force convened for its inaugural meeting the following month, and subsequent meetings have been held since then. Collaboratively, the Task Force and City staff have solidified event details, including the official event name, logo, marketing plan, and programming strategy.
DISCUSSION:
Staff will discuss the progress of the Task Force and provide an update on event details.
