BACKGROUND:
For fiscal year 2023-2024, the Facilities Department budgeted $195,965 for emergency equipment for vehicles for the Police Department. On December 12, 2023, the City Council approved the purchase of eight (8) replacement patrol vehicles.
DISCUSSION:
The Fleet Department and Police Department have evaluated the quotations received and determined the emergency equipment meets specifications and can be purchased from Defender Supply through the City’s cooperative purchasing program with Sourcewell in the amount of $195,965.
