Consider approving Resolution No. 2024-103 authorizing the purchase of four (4) Xpedition powered stair chairs from Stryker in the amount of $75,716.28; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
In May 2024, the Fire Department was awarded a funding request from Metrocrest Hospital Authority to purchase four (4) Xpedition-powered stair chairs for the Farmers Branch Fire Department.
This funding will allow the Fire Department to replace four (4) manual stair chairs that assist with emergency responders’ ability to assist patients and/or caregivers downstairs or on elevated terrain. The existing chairs range in age from 9 - 21 years and are in need of replacement. By implementing new chairs into our fleet, we will be able to better serve the community by staying up to date on emerging technologies in the emergency response field.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No Financial Impact. The donation provides additional funds for the Fire Department to replace four (4) Stryker Xpedition powered stair chairs.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve Resolution No. 2024-103 as presented.
2. I move to approve Resolution No. 2024-103, with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
