Title
Consider approving Resolution No. 2024-105 authorizing the City Manager to approve a contract with Supreme Roofing Systems to repair and replace roofs located at City Hall and the Branch Connection in the amount of $956,114; and take appropriate action.

Body
BACKGROUND:
The Facilities Department has identified a need for repairs on the roofs of City Hall and the Branch Connection. With the current storms and significant damage to city buildings over the years, these two roofs must be replaced. Both roofs are the originals, which have only been repaired and not replaced. The City Hall roof is over 40 years old, and the Branch Connection roof is 20 years old.

Construction is currently being delayed at the Branch Connection due to the damage caused by the storms, which caused various leaks throughout the site. Additionally, City Hall had some damage, and several offices had water leakage.

The Facilities Department is overspending on our repair account to minimize water leaks while we await roof replacement.

DISCUSSION:
The Facilities Department is requesting approval of a contract with Supreme Roofing Systems via TIPS Purchasing Cooperative to repair and replace the roofs of City Hall and the Branch Connection. Supreme Roofing has been a vendor with the City for several years. To find another vendor that is not on a Purchasing Cooperative list would require formal bidding process per our internal policies. The formal bidding process would further delay construction for a month and increase repair costs for our facilities.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted Financial Impact $956,114. Budget was awarded during the FY 24-25 Mid-year budget amendment.

DISTRICT:
Districts 1 and 3
