BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch is committed to supporting visibility, dignity, and equality for all people. The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) communities of Farmers Branch are an integral part of the vibrant culture that makes up our great city. The month of June is designated Pride Month and is nationally recognized for honoring LGBTQ communities throughout the United States. Therefore, this proclamation is being presented to honor and recognize the LGBTQ communities of Farmers Branch.
