Title

Receive Sub-Committee updates; and take appropriate action.

•                     Arts in Public Spaces

•                     Artist Outreach

•                     Grant Making and Funding

•                     Festivals and Contests

Body

This agenda item allows the Committee members and staff to report, discuss, and exchange information regarding a sub-committee.

There are currently four sub-committees; Arts in Public Spaces, Artist Outreach, Grant Making and Funding, and Festivals and Contests. Members report updates on projects as needed and these sub-committees are responsible for the Plan of Work used during the calendar year. The Plan of Work aligns with the City’s Strategic Map.

Arts in Public Spaces

All three art pieces for the Westside Art Trail have been paid for and delivered. The next step is to select a location for each piece. Additionally, locations need to be selected for future art pieces.

Artist Outreach

Artist Exchange was mentioned at the Board Chair meeting on July 17. City Council would like an invitation to a future Artist Exchange event.

Grant Making and Funding

City Council’s direction is to look for alternative funding sources rather than using tax-payer funds.

Festivals and Contests

Mustang Station Arts & Culture District branding has been completed on the box at Tom Field Road and Valley View Lane, across from Joya Park.

A call for performers has been advertised for Branch Arts Live. Flyer attached.
