BACKGROUND:
The Sustainability Plan contains a recommended action to implement strategies to reduce the urban heat island effect. City staff will provide a presentation introducing the topic and its relevance to the committee. Staff will highlight work of other municipalities on the topic. Members can provide input on where they would like to see future actions to mitigate urban heat issues.
