BACKGROUND:
The Pickleball World Championship will return to Farmers Branch this November at the Brookhaven Country Club. The USA Pickleball Association is the governing body for players in the United States and provides players with official rules, tournaments, ranking, and promotional materials. The PPA (Professional Pickleball Association), commonly known as the PPA Tour, organizes all aspects of the annual tournaments.
The City of Farmers Branch has been working with the PPA Tour to seamlessly integrate visitors and local spectators within the Brookhaven Country Club area. The departments involved with reviewing the logistics include Fire, Economic Development, Tourism and Planning, Police, Parks, Public Works, and Community Services. The presentation will provide a brief overview of facts to date, with specific information provided at a later date when received by the PPA Tour.
