Title
Consider approving Resolution No. 2025-006 authorizing the purchase of three 2025 Ford F-350 pickup trucks from Rush Truck Center through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative BuyBoard in the amount of $269,280 ($89,760 each); and take appropriate action.

Body
REQUESTOR:
Finance, Fleet, and Facilities Department

BACKGROUND:
The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting the purchase of four 2025 Ford F350 Crew Cab trucks with utility bodies. The trucks will have all lighting and equipment installed before delivery to reduce the time it takes for the Fleet Department to put the units in service. Crews use these vehicles for park maintenance throughout the City. The life expectancy for this type of vehicle is ten years, 80,000 miles, or 8,000 hours of service.

This is a replacement vehicle for the following units:
- Unit #2120351: a 2012 Ford F350 that has been in service for 12 years with 70,000 miles and 11,000 hours of service
- Unit #2081151: a 2008 Ford F250 that has been in service for 16.5 years with 60,000 miles and 14,000 hours of service
- Unit #2130951: a 2013 Ford F350 that has been in service for 11.25 years with 65,000 miles and 10,500 hours of service.

These vehicles are being replaced due to age, hours of service, and overall condition of the vehicle.

DISCUSSION:
The BuyBoard purchasing cooperative was used to reduce fleet staff time and take advantage of existing bids from government entities. Rush Truck and Sam Pack Ford were asked to provide quotes for the vehicles. Rush Truck was the only vendor that supplied a quote.

The purchase of these replacement trucks allows for the scheduled replacement of three aging vehicles and one additional vehicle to the fleet. The FY2024-25 budget includes the purchase of these vehicles.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted Financial Impact: $269,280 from the Fixed Asset Fund

DISTRICT:
Citywide
