Title
Consider approving Resolution No. 2025-018 authorizing the City Manager to execute an Assignment, Assumption, and Consent Agreement as part of the Demolition/Rebuild Program for a four (4) year property tax incentive for the property located at 12711 Epps Field Road; and take appropriate action.
Body
REQUESTOR:
Economic Development, Tourism, and Planning Department
BACKGROUND:
In an effort to improve the quality of housing opportunities in the City of Farmers Branch, the City Council enacted a Residential Demolition/Rebuild Program pursuant to Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code. This encourages the redevelopment of existing single-family detached residential properties by constructing new, higher-value, single-family detached residential structures.
DISCUSSION:
In 2016, Ed Bonneau applied for a Demo/Rebuild incentive and was approved with Resolution No. 2016-123 by the City Council. The initial demolition/rebuild incentive was built under the resident name rather than the business name, Todd Bonneau Custom Homes. When the property was sold, the incentive agreement was not transferred. No incentive/funds have been paid for this property address.
We would like to transfer to the intended party to finalize the demolition/rebuild incentive to who the custom home was built.
DISTRICT:
District 3
