BACKGROUND:
The Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch has committed $40,000 to the purchase of an Inclusive We-Go-Round playground for Gussie Field Watterworth Park. The City of Farmers Branch would like to recognize and thank the Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch for their generous donation of $40,000 to the purchase of playground equipment for Gussie Field Watterworth Park.
DISCUSSION:
The Parks and Recreation Department intends to purchase and install an Inclusive We-Go-Round playground at Gussie Field Watterworth Park. A generous donation by the Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch will provide a portion of the funds. The $40,000 donation will contribute towards the purchase of a We-Go-Round manufactured by Landscape Structures, which will cost $97,042.
The Inclusive We-Go-Round will accommodate the use of mobility aids and assistive technology, providing an all-inclusive recreational experience for all park visitors.
