INTRODUCTION BY THE MAYOR:
The City of Farmers Branch has a strong culture that nurtures RESPECT, where we value everyone’s opinion and acknowledge their perspective. The Leadership of the City of Farmers Branch appreciates the effort, dedication, and time our employees put into their jobs, and the City has a new program to recognize employees for consistently demonstrating these values.
Tonight, since the start of this program, Famers Branch recognizes its first Employee of the Year, BIANCA VAN HORN, from Human Resources.
BACKGROUND:
Bianca started with the City in March 2022 as an HR Analyst, primarily overseeing benefits and compensation. During her tenure, she provided much-needed education and a personal touch to employees and retirees so they could better understand their benefits. In addition, she takes great care in coordinating monthly wellness and retirement seminars for employees to learn about how to improve their quality of life, health, and wealth.
Bianca’s exceptional contributions reflect her unwavering commitment to our organization, our employees, and our community. Bianca’s past year highlights a remarkable record of achievement in areas that define what it means to be a caring and effective public servant.
Bianca, your work makes a difference every day, and we are deeply grateful for all you do. Thank you for your commitment to excellence, and congratulations on being the first to receive the honor of Employee of the Year 2024.
