BACKGROUND:
In 2024 the City and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD (CFBISD) began discussions on the redevelopment of Farmers Branch Elementary School. Those discussions also led to a property swap to adjust property boundaries to better serve the students of the school and the community.
In late 2024, the City and school district approved the swap. With the finalization of the property boundaries, the school district will begin the design process for the new school. Staff will work with the CFBISD on redeveloping the school and Cox Park to improve accommodations for the students and park patrons. Below is a graphic of the property changes that have been approved.
