BACKGROUND:
In 2024, the City Council worked with the homeowner’s association and staff to transition the median maintenance in the Mercer Crossing subdivision along Mercer Parkway and Wittington Way from the homeowner’s association to the City. As part of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget, the City Council approved the funding for the staffing and equipment needed for the City to begin taking over the median maintenance in 2025.
DISCUSSION:
In November 2024, staff began working with the City Attorney and Essex Management Company (homeowner’s association management company) on amending the current maintenance agreement for the medians. Amending the agreement would allow the City to take over maintenance of the medians.
Staff will update the City Council on the progress of the transition and will be available to answer any questions.
