Discuss Council Direction and Comprehensive Plan.

BACKGROUND:
The City Council clarified the Board direction and had the City Secretary email the clarification to the Board Chairs earlier this year. A copy of the email is below; it was sent to the Board on March 7, 2025, for their review.
This item will allow the Board to discuss the direction provided by the Council with parks and recreation staff. Staff will also review the location on the City website of the current City Comprehensive Plan copy noted in the email for the Board to reference.

Good morning, Board Chairs and Liaisons,
At the February 4 City Council meeting, the Council discussed providing feedback and direction to the City’s Boards and Commissions. The City Council wished to convey, as you all were chosen as experienced volunteers who are more familiar with your respective boards and commission's goals and objectives, that you should feel empowered to have creative leeway to propose innovative and exciting ideas and to work with City staff to determine the feasibility and budget, if needed, in bringing those ideas together. During board chair meetings with the City Council, ideas can be shared, and feedback can be discussed at that time.
