BACKGROUND:
The Oakbrook Community Services Association has requested a partnership with the City to provide assistance with funding to repair and or replace the street infrastructure on Golden Oak Street, Whispering Oak Street, and Pin Oak Street located within the Oakbrook Community.
DISCUSSION:
The proposed Resolution authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and execute on behalf of the City an Economic Development Incentive Agreement with Oakbrook to provide one time funding for the repair of street infrastructure on Golden Oak, Whispering Oak and Pin Oak Streets.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approval of Resolution No. 2018-44, to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute an Economic Development Incentive Agreement between the City of Farmers Branch and Oakbrook Community Services Association, Inc.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve Resolution No. 2018-44, as presented.
2. I move to approve Resolution No. 2018-44, with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
