Consider accepting an anonymous donation in the amount of $10,000 for landscaping at the Farmers Branch Historical Park; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
There are two major construction projects going on at the Historical Park. One project involves the Gilbert House and the other involves the Church. When those projects are complete there will be landscaping repairs to be made and opportunities for landscape improvements.
DISCUSSION:
An individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, is very interested in the beauty of the Historical Park and wishes to donate $10,000.00 for landscape improvements following these construction projects.
Pam Smith, the City’s Landscape Manager, has been working with this individual and believes the needs and desires of the City will match nicely with the intent of the donor.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends accepting the $10,000 donation from the anonymous donor for landscaping at the Historical Park.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to accept the $10,000 donation for landscaping at the Historical Park.
2. I move to accept the $10,000 donation for landscaping at the Historical Park with
modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
