Mad Hatter Tea - Venue 1842 at the Farmers Branch Historical Park

 

Join us for our annual Mad Hatter Tea at Venue 1842!  Don’t be late for a very important date!  By order of the Queen of Hearts, you’re cordially invited to a curious tea party, complete with lunch, dessert, tea, lemonade, and a chance to snap a pic with Lewis Carroll’s, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland characters.  “Every adventure requires a first step” as the Cheshire Cat wisely says.

 

Exciting new seating options! Table of eight: $240 and table of ten: $300.  Community seating available, for individuals and smaller parties; $30 per seat.  For questions, please call 972-919-8735.  Space and tables are limited; pre-registration is required.  Tickets are non-refundable.  Don’t miss this whimsical wonderland.

Birthday Box Donations

 

Join the Historical Park in supplying birthday boxes for Metrocrest Services.  Items needed are: signed birthday cards, brownie/cookie/cake mixes, icing, and party horns.  Girl Scouts participating in the donation drive will receive a patch!

Artchella Summer Camp 2025 with Paloma:  All Things Toys - Farmers Branch Historical Park

 

Join us for a fun-filled summer camp where imagination knows no bounds. Inspired by a love of all things toys, this camp is designed for kids who love to draw, paint, sculpt, and create.

Girls Make History Camp 2025 - Farmers Branch Historical Park

 

Join the Historical Park on an adventure to meet girls from the past who have shaped America!  Experience the life of girls from early pioneer days, the Victorian Era, the Jazz Age, the nifty 50s, and ending with a celebration of the counterculture that made the 1970s so exciting!  Camp activities include cooking, baking, specialty crafts, outdoor nature walks, and lots more. This award-winning camp will explore the impact girls have made throughout American history!  A snack will be provided.  Please bring a sack lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer to camp each day.  Price includes all materials.  Camp will begin outdoors and rotate between several structures during the afternoon.  Camper drop off and pick-up in the Historical Park parking lot.

 

Camp instructors: Bonnie Neumann - Historical Cultural Specialist, Lauren Prengler - Museum Educator, and Kim Jolly Chapman - Historical Park Coordinator.

Girl Scout Patch Workshop:  Baking Basics 101 - Farmers Branch Historical Park

 

Girl Scouts will have fun during this in-person, hands-on workshop as they are introduced to the principles of baking. Learn about kitchen tools, measurements, food safety, and nutrition as handmade treats are prepared and enjoyed. Girls will receive the baking fun patch. Recommended for Daisy - Junior Girl Scouts.  Stay for a picnic lunch from 12 - 1 p.m. and join us for the Using Your Voice workshop; must register separately.

Girl Scout Badge/Patch Workshop:  Using Your Voice - Farmers Branch Historical Park

 

From speaking up for what you believe in, to helping get out the vote, there are many ways our voices can be heard! In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Inauguration Day, both taking place on January 20th, this workshop will celebrate the ways we can use our voice to make a difference in our community and the world around us.  Activities include exploring and discussing the theme, a craft, SWAP, snack, and a choice of either civics badge appropriate to Girl Scouting level (Good Neighbor, Celebrating Community, Inside Government), or a Promote the Vote fun patch.  Recommended for Daisy - Junior Girl Scouts.

In this Girl Scout workshop, we will reflect on Scouting history and explore the symbolism and values of the World Thinking Day movement which focuses on supporting girls around the world to feel confident, care about their world, and develop the skills needed to make a difference.  Activities include exploring and discussing the theme, a craft, SWAP, snack, and patch.  Recommended for Daisy - Junior Girl Scouts.
