Come Fly a Kite! 

 

Bring your own kite from home to the Farmers Branch Historical Park and enjoy an afternoon soaring in the Park’s meadow.  Take home instructions on how to make your own kite.

Charcuterie Board Class (Sold Out)

 

Looking for fun Ladies Night Out or Date Night ideas? The Historical Park’s Charcuterie Board Class has you covered. Learn the basic skills of creating a beautiful charcuterie board and get hands-on, step-by-step instruction and guidance. All the meats, cheeses, and various nuts, crackers, fruits, and sweets are included; the best part is you get to graze on the board you create. BYOB limited to one bottle of wine or two beers per person. BYOB for ages 21 and up only, must bring ID.

Mums & Sons:  Adventure in Wonderland

 

Looking for a way to celebrate mom? Join us for the 7th annual Mums & Sons:  An Adventure in Wonderland.  Activities include lawn games, crafts, a picnic lunch, and a tour of Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland exhibit in the Queen Anne Victorian Cottage. Fun for all ages!

Denton Drive Live (Special Events)

Paint the Park (Rocks)

 

Is there a budding artist in the family? Have them leave their mark by painting a rock in Mary's Garden at the Historical Park. Supplies provided.

Artchella Summer Camp 2024 with Paloma:  Disco Party! (Sold Out)

 

Calling all artists and party animals! This summer camp is for you!  Join us for a week of fun, creativity, and dancing at our Art Disco Party Summer Camp. Campers will learn a variety of art techniques, from painting and drawing to sculpture and collage. They will also have the opportunity to create their own disco-themed art projects, such as glow-in-the-dark paintings, glitter-covered sculptures, and funky dance costumes.  Of course, no disco party is complete without music! Campers will learn to dance to their favorite disco hits and even choreograph their own disco routines. At the end of the week, campers will put on a disco party performance for their friends.

 

Camp Instructor:  Paloma Nadine, Artist and C-FBISD Art Teacher.

Girls Make History Camp (Sold Out)

 

Join the Historical Park on an adventure to meet girls from the past who have shaped America!  Experience the life of girls from the American Frontier, the Victorian Era, the roaring 1920s, the hopping 1950s, and ending with a groovy 1970s festival.  Camp activities include cooking, baking, specialty crafts, outdoor nature walks, and lots more. This award-winning camp will explore the impact girls have made throughout American history!  A snack will be provided. 

 

Camp instructors: Bonnie Neumann, Historical Cultural Specialist, Lauren Prengler, Museum Educator, and Kim Jolly Chapman, Historical Park Coordinator.

 

Mon - Fri | July 15 - 19 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. | $250 per person; space is limited, pre-registration is required.   Price includes all materials.
