BACKGROUND:
The Friends of the Farmers Branch Historical Park (The Friends) was founded in 2006. Since that time they have raised and donated thousands of dollars to assist the Historical Park in various projects.
The Friends have been an integral part of the Historical Park since their inception. They have helped with great projects and small - everything from stocking the new General Store to buying uniforms and equipment for the park's vintage base ball team. Thanks to the support of the Friends and the Farmers Branch Woman's Club, the Historical Park was able to produce Farmers Branch, A History in Pictures last year. The Friends can always be counted on to assist during many of the City's special events in the Park, including greeting visitors and welcoming guests to the park and helping to make sure visitors have a quality experience.
The Friends of the Historical Park have been such great partners that City Administration felt it appropriate to publicly say "Thank you for all your support, the Historical Park is better because of you."
