DISCUSSION:
Lieutenant Jason Roddy began his career with the Farmers Branch Police Department in 2009 and immediately distinguished himself as an exemplary officer. He steadily moved up the ranks, being promoted to corporal in 2016, sergeant in 2018, and lieutenant in 2021.
Lieutenant Roddy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lindenwood University and a Master Peace Officer certification from the State of Texas. In addition to being the 3rd Watch commanding officer, he is the supervisor of the Accident Investigation Team. They are charged with the difficult but essential task of reconstructing those vehicle accidents that result in serious bodily injury or death.
Lieutenant Roddy received four commendations and was named the 2017 Supervisor of the Year.
Please join me in congratulating and thanking Lieutenant Roddy for 15 years of dedicated service.
