Consider adopting Ordinance No. 3991 appointing Alternate Municipal Court Judge Cass Callaway to the City of Farmers Branch Municipal Court of Record No.1; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
On January 20, 2026, the City Council appointed Judge Stephen Feil as the Presiding Judge. Judge Feil was asked to consider candidates for an additional alternate judge position and provide recommendations. Judge Feil has recommended the appointment of Cass Callaway as an alternate judge.
DISCUSSION:
Approval of Ordinance No. 3991 will authorize the appointment of Cass Callaway as an alternate judge, based on the presiding judge's recommendation. The alternate judge is appointed for a term of two (2) years commencing February 3, 2026, and ending on February 2, 2028.
