Discuss and provide feedback regarding draft landscape amendments to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.

BACKGROUND:
The rewrite of the landscape regulations of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO) is supported by the City’s strategic initiatives (which directed a review of the landscape regulations), the Farmers Branch 2045 Plan, and the City’s Sustainability Plan. The goal of the revisions is to have the landscape regulations reflect and support City policy, thereby aiding in policy implementation. In addition, revised regulations would be more comparable with current regional standards in the DFW metroplex while finding the right balance for the City of Farmers Branch.
DISCUSSION:
The draft landscape regulations are being brought forward to the City Council for discussion and feedback. The discussion will inform the final draft of the revised landscape regulations, which will be brought forward to P&Z and the City Council for public hearing and formal consideration.
