Consider approving Resolution No. 2015-011 authorizing the City Manager to execute Amendment Number Two to the Professional Services Agreement with IDS Engineering Group relative to the Mercer Crossing Lift Station and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
On May 14, 2014, the City entered into a professional services agreement with IDS Engineering Group for the design, preparation of plans and specifications of the Mercer Crossing Lift Station that will service the new development within Mercer Crossing area in amount of $43,000.
On June 30, 2014, the consultant requested an amendment in the amount of $1,000 for additional work needed by the electrical sub-consultant. This amendment was approved administratively, which increased the contract amount to $44,000.
DISCUSSION:
The lift station is under construction and the design engineer has requested Amendment Number Two to the existing agreement for additional construction services that are above normal direct costs in an amount of $10,000. This will increase to the contract amount to $54,000 and will provide necessary funding to complete this project. Funds are available in the 2014-15 Capital Improvement Project Non-bond Utility fund for this amendment with IDS Engineering Group in the amount of $10,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended motion by City Administration to approve Resolution No. 2015-011 authorizing the City Manager to execute Amendment Number Two to the Professional Services Agreement with IDS Engineering Group relative to the Mercer Crossing Lift Station.
