BACKGROUND:
Clinton (Pete) Turner was hired on September 26, 1994 as a patrol officer. He came to the City from the United States Army, where he served for 4 years. During his tenure with the Farmers Branch Police Department, Officer Turner has served in the Patrol Division, Communications, and Investigations.
Officer Turner has been publicly recognized for his dedication in serving the community on several occasions. In 2012, he was awarded a Certificate for Civic Achievement for going above and beyond the call of duty for assisting some people with special needs on his beat and a Community Quarterback Award from the Dallas Cowboys for his volunteer work with The Family Place, a local non-profit organization that assists victims of family violence. His file also contains numerous letters of thanks from citizens for routinely and courteously helping while on duty.
Officer Turner is presently a member of the Patrol Division and works with the HazMat team. He has an Advanced Peace Officer certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
He lives in The Colony with his wife Laurie and has three children: Clint, Colby, and Shelby. His interests include spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle.
