Consider accepting a donation of seven (7) stainless steel animal cages from Dr. Wise Garver and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
Dr. Wise Garver, a Veterinarian from New Jersey, purchased seven stainless steel cages for animals while he was working in Texas over thirty years ago. The cages were never utilized; still remain in the original boxes; and have been stored in a relatives' garage since the cages were purchased. The stainless steel animal cages are valued at $3,288.
DISCUSSION:
Stainless steel animal cages of this quality and size can be utilized by the adoption center.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends accepting the generous donation from Dr. Garver.
ACTIONS:
1) Motion to accept the donation of seven stainless steel animal cages.
2) Motion to deny acceptance of the donation of seven stainless steel animal cages.
3) Motion to modify to meet the needs of the Council.
4) Motion to table the issue for further study or take no action.
