BACKGROUND:
The FY 2023-24 Fixed Asset budget allocates $194,696 for installing two air conditioning chiller units (“chillers”) for City Hall, a crucial decision supported by a thorough life cycle analysis.
DISCUSSION:
The air conditioning chiller units serve City Hall by supplying chilled water through pipes connected to air handler units, facilitating efficient air conditioning.
After a comprehensive evaluation considering factors like age, repair history, cost, and industry standards, staff presented the findings to the Council on December 13, 2022. The Council subsequently approved the purchase of two replacement chillers, and this agenda item pertains to the installation of these approved acquisitions.
