At the request of Councilmember Elizabeth Villafranca, this item has been placed on the agenda to provide the City Council with a comprehensive overview of efforts led by Dallas County to address the growing needs of unhoused populations.
DISCUSSION:
At the request of Councilmember Elizabeth Villafranca, Dallas County Commissioner Andy Sommerman will provide a comprehensive presentation on the county's ongoing efforts related to unhoused populations. The presentation will include an overview of current initiatives, regional coordination strategies, and the development and implementation of deflection centers.
