BACKGROUND:
Ordinance No. 3221 was adopted in April, 2013, which established a uniform term year to begin in July of each year for most of the City's board, committee, and commission members.  The Library Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment/Building Code Board of Appeals, Parks and Recreation Board, Historical Preservation and Restoration Board, Senior Advisory Board, Community Watch Committee, Animal Shelter Advisory Committee, and the Family Advisory Board each have members with terms expiring the end of this month.
 
DISCUSSION:
Current board/commission members were contacted to see if they were interested in serving another term on their current board, or if the wished to serve on a different board/commission.  Those interested in being reappointed were asked to submit a Disclosure and Authorization From to allow a background check.
 
Included with the agenda item for Board and Commission appointments is an appointment chart and list of applicants that will assist in the appointment making process.
