BACKGROUND:

This agenda item allows the Committee members and staff to report, discuss, and exchange information regarding a sub-committee.

 

The FY 25-26 sub-committees are:

  Arts & Culture in Public Spaces

  Artist Outreach

  Arts & Culture Festivals 

  Strategic Planning                                 

  Gateway to the Globe (Events Review)

                                              

Arts & Culture in Public Spaces

 

                     Staff members will be present to provide an update on the current utility box wraps.

                     Sub-committee member will give an update on the proposed 2026 utility box contest.

 

Artist Outreach

 

                     Sub-committee will provide an update on yard sign drop-off to individual homes and businesses.

Arts & Culture Festivals

 

                     The Sub-committee will provide an update for 2026 art/culture events taking place in our community including, art shows, Texas Big Art Day, Branch Arts Live, and more.

Strategic Planning

 

                     A verbal update from the Committee Chair will be given for the January 13, 2026 Strategic Planning meeting with City Council.  

 

Gateway to the Globe (Events Review)

 

                     The sub-committee met on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
