EXPLANATION:
Article 2.132 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure requires the annual reporting to the governing body of data collected on individuals stopped and issued citations or arrested by the police department. This year the Professional Development Institute, from the University of North Texas, was contracted to conduct a comprehensive analysis of this data as well as the Farmers Branch Police Department's policies, training, and procedures as it pertains to racial profiling. Their findings are attached.
The Chief of Police will be present to make a brief report and answer any questions.
