INTRODUCTION BY THE MAYOR:
On behalf of the City Council, I am pleased to announce that David Becker of the Innovation and Technology (IT) Department is the Employee of the Month for February 2025.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch has a strong culture that nurtures RESPECT, where we value everyone’s opinion and acknowledge their perspective. David Becker has been a dedicated member of the City of Farmers Branch team for nearly ten years. He began his career as a GIS Intern in the Public Works Department before transitioning to the IT Department in 2023, where he now serves as a GIS Specialist.
Recently, David played a crucial role in assisting the City Secretary’s office with an important project involving site documentation and cemetery plot locations, which was a time-consuming and tedious task. This is just an example of his constant willingness to go above and beyond the expectations of his regular job performance. His actions demonstrate the CARE and EXCELLENCE aspects of our REACT culture, and he is truly appreciated for everything he does.
