BACKGROUND:
The City currently manages a total of $26,707,488 in grant funding distributed across 12 active projects. These grants support initiatives to enhance infrastructure, public services, and community programs.

The active grants are as follows:


These projects are at varying stages of development, from completing final punch list items and awaiting equipment deliveries to the obligation of remaining funds, contract finalizations, and project closeout.

The Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant (Venue 1842) is approaching completion, with only minor punch list items pending final inspection and closure. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Grant and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) projects are in the process of obligating remaining funds to ensure all financial commitments are met. The Energy Efficient and Conservation Block Grant is currently awaiting the arrival of key equipment, which has delayed the final phases of construction or implementation.
Several grants are in the design or bidding preparation stages, with the scope and costs being finalized in advance of construction. Meanwhile, the Texas Event Trust Fund Program is nearing closeout, with the City finalizing outstanding documentation and financial reconciliations.

The City is committed to ensuring that all grant funds, totaling $26,707,488, are utilized effectively and in full compliance with the terms and conditions of the respective grants. While some projects are nearing completion, others remain in various stages of design, procurement, or contract negotiation, each contributing to the improvement of the city's infrastructure and public services.
