Consider Board and Committee appointments to the Farmers Branch Local Government Corporation Board of Directors and the Sustainability Committee; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The Farmers Branch Local Government Corporation Board of Directors is comprised of the Mayor and City Administration that are also Farmers Branch residents. With the resignation of Board of Director member Deputy Director of Community Services Danielle Summers, who is no longer a Farmers Branch resident, and the resignation of former Mayor Robert Dye, two vacancies have occurred. The Farmers Branch Local Government Corporation Board of Directors serve two (2) year terms.
The following individuals are being considered for appointment:
* Mayor Pro Tem David Merritt, Place 1 with a term ending June 30, 2023
* Julian Oelhafen, City of Farmers Branch Building Inspector and Farmers Branch resident, to fill Place 5 with a term ending June 30, 2023
Mark Lyda, the Dallas College representative for the Sustainability Committee has resigned his position leaving a vacancy. Dallas College is recommending Suzette Vaquera to fill the position representing Dallas College on the Sustainability Committee. Members of the Sustainability Committee serve for a three (3) year term.
The following applicants are being considered:
* Suzette Vaquera, Dallas College with a term ending June 30, 2023
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends the City Council appoint Julian Oelhafen to the Farmers Branch Local Government Corporation Board of Directors to fill Place 5, for a term ending June 30, 2023, and appoint Mayor Pro Tem David Merritt to Place 1 with a term ending June 30, 2023. City Administration also recommends appointing Suzette Vaquera with Dallas College to the Sustainability Committee with a term ending June 30, 2023.
