Review of items requested for review by the City Attorney.

BACKGROUND:
At the January 21, 2026, Charter Review Committee meeting, several items were requested that required review by the City Attorney.
Items included:
• Consider adding a provision that would require new or amended multifamily project applications to be approved by the City Council, with the Mayor having veto authority.
• Consider adding a provision to require increases or decreases in police staffing levels based on crime statistics as compared to surrounding cities.
• Considering adding an at-large Council member or possible restructuring of single-member districts.
DISCUSSION:
The City Attorney will provide recommendations for each of these items.
