Consider adopting Ordinance No. 3921 amending the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 26, Fee Schedule, and correcting the fees for Multi-Family Inspections; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
Ordinance No. 3867 was adopted in May 2024, updating fees for multi-family inspections and licensing. However, when the Fee Schedule was presented in November 2024, it did not accurately reflect the correct fees established by Ordinance No. 3867. This discrepancy was due to a scrivener’s error. The Fee Schedule needs to be updated to align with the fees approved in May 2024.
DISCUSSION:
Staff found that the fees for the Multi-Family License were changed with the Fee Schedule update presented in November of 2024. This occurred due to a scrivener’s error, and staff requests that the fee schedule be amended to reflect the approved fees adopted by the City Council in May 2024. There will be no impact on the established program and this correction does not impact future inspection fees.
