Consider approving Resolution No. 2024-186 authorizing an Interlocal Agreement for coordinated health services with Dallas County Health and Human Services; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch contracts with Dallas County Health and Human Services to provide certain public health services for the residents of Farmers Branch. The County will provide the following health services:
• Tuberculosis control services
• Sexually transmitted disease control services
• Communicable disease control services
• Laboratory services
• Immunizations
• Child health care
• High-risk infant case management
• Home visits
The County charges a sliding-scale fee based on the ability to pay to all residents of every municipality in Dallas County. The fee schedule is provided in Exhibit A. The cost to the City is based on historical caseloads and service costs. The County invoices the City a percentage of the annual cost provided in the agreement monthly.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of this program is $6,856, which is budgeted in the Community Services Fiscal Year 24-25 budget.
