Discuss agenda items for future Sustainability Committee meetings

BACKGROUND:
Committee members can recommend topics that they would like to discuss at a future meeting.
Topics that have previously been mentioned include:
• Zoning and attainable housing
• Updates on the tree preservation ordinance
• Expansion of composting opportunities to increase landfill diversion
• Waste diversion opportunities
• Information on utility rebate programs
• Reducing urban heat island effect
• Discussion with Parks and/or school districts on native plantings
• Expansion of the water rebate program to include turf buy-back and/or smart irrigation controllers
• Discussion on educational events - follow up from Built and Natural Environment subcommittee presentation
• Landfill information
• Member presentations: compost and hot water pumps
• Mini forests in urban areas
• Subcommittee membership review
