BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch held a runoff election on June 21, 2014 to elect a Mayor and one member to City Council District 2.
 
DISCUSSION:
The following actions will be taken to canvass and certify the results of the June 21, 2014 Runoff Election to elect a Mayor and one member to City Council District 2:
 
The Mayor reads the canvass statement in Resolution No. 2014-058.
The City Council approves Resolution No. 2014-058.
The Oath of Office is administered.
The presentation of Certificates of Election.
 
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approving Resolution No. 2014-058 canvassing the election returns of the June 21, 2014 Runoff Election for Mayor and City Council District 2, and swearing in of duly elected City Council members.
 
ACTIONS:
1)      Motion to approve Resolution No. 2014-058 canvassing the election returns of the June 21, 2014 Runoff Election for Mayor and City Council District 2, and swearing in of duly elected City Council members.
2)      Motion to deny Resolution No. 2014-058 canvassing the election returns of the June 21, 2014 Runoff Election for Mayor and City Council District 2, and swearing in of duly elected City Council members.
3)      Motion to modify to meet the needs of the Council.
4)      Motion to table the issue for further study or take no action.
