BACKGROUND:
Dallas County is seeking nominations for two places on the Dallas Central Appraisal District Board of Directors, Place 4 and Place 5, as these positions expire December 31, 2025. Appointed directors serve for a period of four years, starting January 2026 through December 2029.
A taxing unit is not required to submit nominations, but if the taxing unit desires to do so, the nomination must be made by resolution adopted by the governing body and submitted to the Chief Appraiser by October 15, 2025.
The Chief Appraiser will, before October 30, submit a ballot of the timely submitted nominees to each taxing unit that is eligible to vote. The governing body of each taxing unit will submit a resolution casting its votes to the Chief Appraiser by December 12. The taxing unit may distribute its votes on a single nominee or split them between multiple nominees. The City of Farmers Branch is entitled to 14 votes, seven per position.

POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve Resolution No. 2025-182 nominating _________ and ___________ to the Dallas Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.
