BACKGROUND:
All nominations for candidates of the Dallas Central Appraisal District Board of Directors election have been submitted. There are 15 nominees on the official ballot. The governing body of each taxing unit is entitled to vote and must cast its vote in an open meeting by resolution prior to December 15, 2024.
DISCUSSION:
The City Council may cast a total of 35 votes for one or multiple candidates on the ballot. Please note that candidate Debra North has requested to withdraw her name from consideration. Because the withdrawal period had lapsed prior to her request, her name will still appear on the ballot.
