BACKGROUND:
City Administration accepts applications from anyone wishing to serve on a Board or Commission. Once a background check has been completed, submitted applications are kept on file for one year.
As vacancies arise, City Council members may make appointments to fill any open positions(s) on a Board or Commission.
DISCUSSION:
The following Boards/Commissions currently have vacancies:
Senior Advisory Board - With the resignation of Katie Roberts, there is one vacancy for a Regular position on the Senior Advisory Board. City Administration is currently accepting applicants; as of January 29, 2015, no applications have been submitted to serve on this board
City Council may wish to appoint one of the current Alternate board members to fill the vacancy on this board.
Family Advisory Board - There are two vacancies on the Family Advisory Board. No applications have been received for this board. City Administration is accepting new applicants.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends an individual that is a Farmers Branch resident and who meets any other additional requirements to a board/commission be appointed.
