BACKGROUND:
Periodic financial reporting provides the City Council with timely information regarding the City's financial performance, allowing for effective oversight of revenues, expenditures, and budget compliance throughout the fiscal year. Regular financial reporting also promotes transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public funds.
The Third Quarter Financial Report serves as an important checkpoint to evaluate fiscal trends, identify potential budget variances, assess the City's financial position, and make informed decisions prior to year-end.
DISCUSSION:
Finance staff will present the unaudited Financial Report for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2025-26. This report provides an overview of the City’s financial performance, including revenues, expenditures, and fund balances, and compares actual activity to the adopted budget.
The information presented is subject to change as financial activity continues throughout the fiscal year and as routine accounting adjustments are made.
