BACKGROUND:
As terms expire and vacancies arise, City Council members may make appointments to fill any open positions on Board and Commissions.

DISCUSSION:
Library Board - With the resignation of Jamie Reed there is one (1) vacancy on the Library Board. Three (3) residents have submitted applications to serve on this board:

Jeremiah Ellis
Jan Woody
Matt Wenthold

Historical Preservation and Restoration Board - With the resignation of Clare Connally there is one (1) vacancy on the Historical Preservation and Restoration Board. Four (4) residents have submitted applications to serve on this board:

Scott Ames
Lib Grimmett - currently serves on Library Board and Community Watch Committee
Charles Sullivan - currently serves on Library Board
Jan Woody

Family Advisory Board - There are currently two (2) vacancies on the Family Advisory Board, which shall be filled by a child who is older than twelve (12) years of age but who has not yet completed the 12th grade of high school (or its equivalent if the child is home schooled). No applications have been received for these positions.

Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone No. 1 and Zone No. 2 (TIF) - Terms for board members expire this year. No applications have been received for this board. The following members currently serve on both boards and would like to serve an additional term:
Ben Robinson
Gary Greer
Pam DeHon
Steve Parker
Michelle Holmes
Charles Cox

RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends an individual that is a Farmers Branch resident, a registered voter (excluding the youth members wishing to serve on the Family Advisory Board), and who meet any additional requirements specific to a board/commission be appointed.
