Consider approving Resolution No. 2024-059 authorizing the City Manager to purchase a Utilities Vacuum Trailer from Charles Machine Works, Inc., through a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Sourcewell in the amount of $146,427; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The utilities vacuum trailer replaces the current trailer, which has over 2,000 hours logged. The Utilities Department uses this trailer daily for hydro-excavating meter boxes to replace water meters and check for leaks on service lines. As the number of gas and fiber optic lines increases, the trailer is essential for daily operations.
DISCUSSION:
This item utilizes the $200,000 budget in Fixed Assets for Large Meter Replacements. The annual $200,000 replacement budget for 3-4 utility meters is instead being funded with the $1.9M Capital Improvement Project (CIP) budget replacing over 40 meters this fiscal year.
