This agenda item allows the Committee members and staff to report, discuss, and exchange information regarding a sub-committee.

 

Arts in Public Spaces

Staff will present a Power Point presentation during the meeting showcasing potential art pieces for consideration.   The on-going listing will be used for future purchases for placement city-wide including the Westside Art Trail.

                     

Art in the City section added to Hello Farmers Branch E-Newsletter.   The May issue featured artwork housed at The Firehouse Theatre.

 

Staff will update the committee on the number of locks placed on the Locks in Love art piece at The Grove.

Artist Directory button added to Hello Farmers Branch E-Newsletter.

 

There are currently 64 artists listed in the Artist Directory, to view a listing of all submitted artist, visit artsandculturefbtx.com, select the Artist Directory button at the bottom of the page, and then select View All Listings (under the black Find Listings button).

 

Grant Making and Funding

 

Festivals and Contests

The date of Sunday, October 20 has been confirmed for Branch Arts Live 2024.  The City will provide the tent, stage, greenery, and hay bales for use after the

Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival on October 18 and 19.  

 

Marketing Manager, Rachael Johnson is updating the Branch Arts Live 2024 flyer and will send to Secretary Dawn Valentine. 

 

The traffic signal box at Valley View Lane and Tom Field Road, across for Joya, is scheduled to be wrapped with the Mustang Station Arts & Culture District branding.  Marketing Manager, Rachael Johnson has agreed to add an additional box at the corner of Denton Drive and Valley View Lane.
