BACKGROUND:
As a matter of practice, the City Council has excused the absence of a City Councilmember when a member has an excusable absence. By excusing an absence, the City Councilmember is not penalized for using one of the three absences allowed in the Charter.
DISCUSSION:
The City Council may wish to consider excusing Councilmember David Reid from a portion of the February 24, 2026, Strategic Planning Session meeting.
