Title
Recognition of Farmers Branch corporate partners the Billingsley Company, Western Securities, Monitronics, and Dallas Medical Center for their donation to City of Farmers Branch employee Rodrigo Burgos.

Body
BACKGROUND:
After Parks and Recreation team member Rodrigo Burgos was severely injured while serving the community, a fund raiser was held by City Administration to help offset the costs of medical care. The Economic Development and Tourism team reached out to the private sector for support and a number of corporations stepped up and provided financial assistance in a very generous way.

Initially, the Billingsley Company offered a dollar for dollar match up to $1,000.  This was immediately matched by Western Securities.  Monitronics, one of the City's largest employers, had a similar situation happen to one of their team members and they also followed through with a $1,000 pledge.  Additionally, Dallas Medical Center held their own fundraiser and collected better than $600.   All told, better than $5,000 has been raised from the private sector which has contributed to the approximate $20,000 that has been raised for Rodrigo and his family.  Representatives of each of these entities are planning to be in attendance.
