The Leadership of the City of Farmers Branch appreciates the effort, dedication, and time our employees put into their jobs. The City has a program to recognize employees for depicting these values. We appreciate and recognize our employees’ hard work and efforts. Tonight, we recognize Anita Bayaro, a Detention Officer in our Police Department, as our Employee of the Month for the month of November 2023.
Anita Bayaro has been with the City of Farmers Branch since June 1999, nearly 25 years. She recently demonstrated extraordinary care when a man at the jail window ran out of gas and forgot his wallet. Anita not only personally took him to the nearest gas station but also generously paid for his gas. Her quick thinking and selflessness assisted the man in a crisis and showcased a level of empathy that goes beyond her responsibilities as a detention officer. Her actions serve as a powerful reminder that simple acts of kindness can positively affect our community.
