Consider approving Resolution No. 2014-097 approving a Detailed Site Plan for Mercer Crossing Apartments (Phase 2), located at 11700 Luna Road, and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
The applicant, Mercer Knightsbridge, LP, began construction of a large multi-family apartment community within the southern portion of Planned Development No. 88 (also known as the Mercer Crossing). Provident is now requesting approval of a Detailed Site Plan for the second phase of this development.
DISCUSSION:
Phase Two of the project is the southernmost 7 acres of the site. It will consist of seven (7) residential buildings and a pool. Phase Two will contain 210 dwelling units. The dwelling units will be either one (71 units) or two bedroom (139 units) apartments. All residential buildings will be three stories and be constructed of at least 75% masonry material (stone or brick).
RECOMMENDATION:
On October 13, 2014, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Detailed Site Plan as described in Resolution 2014-097.
